The Wicked King – Holly Black

“Kiss me again” he says, drunk and foolish. “Kiss me until I am sick of it.”

Cardan (The wicked king by holly black)

📖”You must be strong enough to strike and strike and strike again without tiring. The first lesson is to make yourself strong. Navigating the constantly shifting political alliances of Faerie would be difficult enough, but Cardan does everything in his power to humiliate and undermine Jude, even as his fascination with her remains undiminished. When it becomes all too clear that someone close to her will betray her, Jude must uncover the traitor and fight her own complicated feelings for Cardan to maintain control as a mortal in a Faerie world.” 📖

5/5 STARS

Holly Black has set my heart on fire and proceeded to stab me straight through it in the span of hours! 🥰❤️🔪💔 I honestly can’t say too much in this review because it will give too much away!

The Wicked King was even more superior than The Cruel Prince, which I didn’t think was possible. I gobbled this up in 4 hours, It was that delicious.

The writing is beautifully crafted with the angsty romance woven between action and betrayal. The plot is SO compelling- so many plot twists and surprises. And the ending…. That ending 😱

Holly Black has slayed me. It was wonderful and evil at the same time. I cannot wait for November to get my hands on The Queen of Nothing!
