3/5 STARS
If you are looking for a funny memoir with more comedy than real life experiences or insight into said celebrities personal life than look no further.
Truthfully I was pretty disappointed with this novel. I really love Amy Poehler and I was looking forward to more insight into her life and career. And while this was truly funny (because why wouldn’t it be funny coming from her?), I felt that all she really did was outline her career and throw in some humor in between facts. There was also some life advice, but she didn’t pair it with experiences which made it fall a little flat.
I will say that I tried to read this and it was kind of a boring read for me, so I switched to the audiobook and that truly helped and livened the book up. Amy reads it herself and also has some fun celebrity cameos which made it much more enjoyable to read.
