This was my first read of any Elizabeth Acevedo books, and while it was hard for me in the beginning and very slow to really get into the verse/poetry writing style, it was a phenomenal book!
This book largely dealt with grief following a tragedy, but I felt that (while listening to the audiobook) that the duel perspective and the two character narrators made the story very cozy feeling. I loved that the two girls stories were mirror images to each other but they were also very personal with different elements. I highly recommend this one!
